Pretty lightening and beer at the end of the tunnel.

So, after a long day we got to the outskirts of Chicago and hit a HUGE thunderstorm. Really stellar lightening, and the driving was only spotty for a few minutes. Rolled into Megan's parents' driveway just before 9:30 (which was just shy of 12 hours on the road. Phew.) She had pizza and beer waiting, which was amazing and much appreciated. Her parents were super sweet and we were so thankful for such a lovely place to park Harvey for the night! This morning, we got up and had a nice chill breakfast and let the doggies play some before Meg had to head off to work (she's kind of a big deal- the assistant scenic painter at Northwestern!) Thanks Megan and parents! Now onward to Mineapolis!

Dark sky!

Yikes!

I think we look like the stars of an 80s buddy sit-com in this one (please excuse the boob shot.)
